Princess Daisy Emmalani (Emaline) Napulahaokalani Cartwright ( February 21, 1879 - ? ) was the eldest daughter of Princess Theresa Owana Kaohelelani Laanui of the House of Laanui, a collateral branch of the House of Kamehameha. She was her mother's first and eldest child.
Her father was the Alexander Joy Cartwright III, son of Honolulu businessman and fireman Alexander Joy Cartwright II (Father of American Baseball). Her younger sister was Princess Eva Kuwailanimamao Cartwright. Cartwright and Theresa Owana Laanui divorced, and he eventually moved to San Francisco and married Susan Florence McDonald. Daisy had two half-sister from her father second marriage, Ruth Joy and Mary Muriel.[1]
Her half-siblings, from her mother's later marriage to Robert William Wilcox, were Prince Robert Kalanikupuapaikalaninui Keoua Wilcox, Princess Virginia Kahoa Kaahumanu Kaihikapumahana Wilcox, Princess Elizabeth Ka'akualaninui Wilcox.
She married first Mr. Walter Nelson and after that Mr. Weaver. Unlike her sister, Princess Eva, she had no issues from either of her husband. Her sister had three children. Today the Cartwright descendants of Princess Theresa Owana Kaohelelani Laanui are fewer than the Wilcoxs.[2]
