Dairo

Dairo is a minor, fictional character appearing in the Japanese manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 Jojo no kimyōna bōken?), by Hirohiko Araki. The character is portrayed as an ally of the protagonist.

Dairo is a hamon ("ripple") user and a student of Ripple Master Tonpeti. Not much is known of Dairo's past, except that he is a good friend of William Antonio Zeppeli. He first properly introduced himself after a short match against Jonathan Joestar. Before Dio Brando and Jonathan had their last fight, Dairo fought Dio to avenge Zeppeli. However, even Dairo's best attack, the Thunder Split Attack, didn't stand a chance against Dio's Freezing Attack, which completely turned his body into ice and then shattered it. Dairo, now only a head, was able to use his last ounce of ripple energy to shoot a rose into Dio's eye. For that, Dairo's head was turned into ice as well and destroyed. He and Straizzo are named after the band Dire Straits.
