Daimler Motorized Carriage

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Daimler Motorized Carriage is one of the first automobiles ever made, designed and built by German engineer Gottlieb Daimler. It was first shown to public in 1886, appearing at roughly the same time as the Benz Patent Motorwagen, however, it is not classed as the first true automobile since it is basically a horse carriage with an engine, whereas the Benz Patent Motorwagen's chassis was designed from scratch.
