Dahmer was a grindcore band formed in Quebec City, Canada in 1995 by Sebastien (Seb) and Yvan Dionne. They composed about serial killers (hence their name referring to Jeffrey Dahmer), mass murderers and other various topics, some not even criminal-related and mostly humorous.
Though the group split up in early 2000, members are currently still involved in other grindcore bands such as FistFuck and other sporadic live performances as well as various side projects.

[edit] Biography
The band formed in 1995, with Seb on bass and vocals and Yvan on drums. Shortly after, John joined on guitar with Seb switching to bass and vocals. During the month of June 1995, they recorded 14 songs for a scheduled split 7" with only Seb on guitar and vocals and Yvan on drums, because at the time John was unavailable due to his work, thus not able to play guitar. Unfortunately, the sound of the recording was of poor quality and did not contain any bass. Later, John came back on guitar joined by Fred as a second guitar player, but this line-up lasted only some months until John definitively left the band. The line-up never changed since then, and was the same up to the split of the group early in 2000.
