Dagenham Dock is a railway station located in Dagenham in East London.
It was opened in 1854 as part of the original route of the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway. It is next to the A13 road and the closest station to the local Ford plant. The station is in Zone 5. According to train operators c2c, "Dagenham Dock is one of the quietest stations on the c2c route. Close to the Docks and the famous Ford factory, the station is in a largely industrial area." [1].

[edit] Future
Although the station is relatively poorly served and located in an industrial area, there are extenive plans to redevelop the area as the London Riverside. Under these plans the station will become the southern terminus of phase one of the East London Transit[2] and it is proposed that an Eastern extension of the Docklands Light Railway would terminate here.[3]
It has been proposed that the line might then be extended on to Dagenham Heathway, closer to the centre of Dagenham and offering an interchange with London Underground in the form of the District Line.
