Thought I'd help you clean it up. I don't know why I felt compelled to do it. Must be OCD. -- 69.133.80.66 (talk)
No problem haha. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Eh. What can one do? At least I wasn't gay and just vandalized. -- 69.133.80.66 (talk) 22:30, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
It looks to me like you deleted a lot of information from the musical today. Can you explain why? Thanks! -- Ssilvers 01:14, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I did, and if you take a look at the talk page, it's there. I was trying to work out a way to fit it (the Historical Credentials bit) into the article structure. It was one o'clock in the morning, and I needed sleep - so I was going to finish it now. Make sense? - Dafyd 10:31, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Yes, thanks! Sorry I jumped the gun. I've done a copy edit on the section now. Hope it helps! -- Ssilvers 14:27, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Theatre infobox
Hey -- I just noticed that you left a message over at WP London regarding a theatre infobox. I know you're a member of WPMT, but I'm not sure if you've noticed the proposal in our template sandbox. Its something I've wanted to implement for awhile, and would love some feedback on it. — MusicMaker5376 04:26, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wicked
Thanks for the support. I was surprised that there weren't immediate howls of protest from fans of Psych, Arrested Development or The War at Home - I mean for heaven's sake!! Some of those seen/mentioned examples really were utter drivel!! I'm going to make something more of the West End production, since that and Broadway are the two traditional homes of theater, and then I'm going GAC, PR, LOCE and then FAC. So stick around as I'm sure this article is going places! Happy‑melon 22:50, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hehe - this amuses me - I presume you're not aware that the contents of those templates is almost exactly the same as the wikitable code you replaced!! Of course it doesn't make any difference whatsoever, I just found it funny! On another note, I wanted to say thanks and good work on formatting all those references - even if I do feel guilty that I didn't really do my fair share. The four remaining fact tags won't last long, leaving only the lead section and the synopsis as obstructions to an unprecedentedly quick GA renomination. Given that I completely redid the synopsis and the GA reviewer was completely unimpressed, do you want to have a go at the plot, and I'll redo the lead? Happy‑melon 22:26, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:The Fix (musical).jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:The Fix (musical).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:35, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi there. I just nominated Wicked (musical) for FAC. I think it does have a reasonable chance of passing, and if it fails consider it a peer review with a lot of comments :D
. However, apparently making more than one FAC nomination at once is discouraged. So I wondered, as you're one of the most important contributors to this article, if you wanted to nominate it and I'll go down as conominator. You can view the nomination at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Wicked (musical). Happy‑melon 22:17, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info on the designers. I moved it down to the production section, though, because it is about the production team for the original production. Is the info for Broadway, or did the same designers do the San Fran tryout? -- Ssilvers (talk) 19:54, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wicked
Don't be discouraged that the musical did not pass the FA review on the first try. The article has come a long way, and I think that now it is pretty close to FA quality in most of its sections. I suggest that you review the comments made at the peer review and the FA review. Sandy Georgia is one of the best article analyists on Wikipedia, and she and Raul basically decide which articles are promoted to FA. So, see if you can do anything further along the lines suggested in the peer review, especially the image issues that she has mentioned. You need a real image expert to come in and make sure the images are Kosher. Then, nominate the article again. This time, I think you may achieve the support you need, but the image issues raised by Sandy must be dealt with first. Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:40, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

I just wanted to say thanks for your support for my RfA, which closed (74/2/0) this morning. Your comment and support was very much appreciated. [edit] Thank you
Just wanted to compliment you for your edit the other day (25th March) on the I'd Do Anything (BBC TV series) article. I hadn't been sure how to add details of the series and just added it as best I could, but it looks much better now after your edit, so thank you and well done! ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 17:53, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your message. With the songs performed on each show, I used the info from the BBC website which listed them all in the order they were sung. Though one of the songs, Get There, I couldn't find an article for on wikipedia (there are some articles but I wasn't sure if any of them were correct, one was from a Danish song). As the show progresses and the article likewise I'm sure that a decent format for listing the songs from each show will emerge. Plus it seems that each Saturday they will be announcing one "Oliver" semi-finalist. If I recall correctly there will be 8 semi-finalists from the 12 boys though I could be wrong. Maybe more will become clearer after todays results show, which I am presuming they filmed last night as the voting closed at 9pm on Saturday. Thanks. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 16:39, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
My apologies for another message, however I just wanted to ask someone elses opinion. An IP user keeps adding in the surnames of two of the boys. Each time I remove them (stating why in the edit summary) they add the two back in again. Everything that has come out from the BBC about the show, press releases and so on, whilst the surnames of the "Nancys" are included, the surnames of the "Olivers" are not used, just their first names (certainly in everything I have seen). My own opinion is if that is what the BBC are doing then we should respect that on here and not include their surnames, especially when they are being added "unsourced". Presumably the three "winners" full names will be given as and when they have won the part, but until then I just think it is best to use the first name only. Am I being too cautious or is this the correct way for what are after all minors. Thanks. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 19:47, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for that. I left a message on the IP users talk page. It does seem as though the BBC are (quite rightly in my opinion) using only their first names for privacy reasons and I think wikipedia should also respect that. Hopefully it won't happen again, but you never know! ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 20:27, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] I'd Do Anything idea
Hi, do you think this might be a better idea for the weekly songs and eliminations?
For the Saturday show -
I tried to create two more for the Results show, one for the weekly missions and one for the two girls in the "sing Off". However, my attempts at making one work for the elimination just doesn't seem to work!
Missions
Mission |
Task |
Nancys |
Working in an East End market |
Olivers |
Learning magic tricks |
Sing Off
What do you think? Details of who was eliminated each week can be worked into the content too of course. And maybe eventually once the seriess has finished the weekly "Songs" box can be changed back to just one box listing all the songs each week which could then encompass the eliminations? ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 18:34, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
How odd, I had been working on the above earlier in one of my user sandboxes and just saw that Acejr tried to do something similar! I know you have amended the two weekly shows into one now, but the box format could still be used with amendments.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 18:44, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, I will add them shortly incorporating them into the new layout you amended it to earlier. I will also put a note on the discussion page that it is being "tried" to see how it works and that it can always be amended if it becomes a bit too "table-heavy"!♦Tangerines♦·Talk 19:16, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi, not sure really whether having the table as it is for todays show with all the TBC is correct or not. I thought that maybe someone might come along and do something like that. I took out all the girls names though as the IP user had left them in the order as it was on last weeks show which will not be the same tonight. If it were up to me I would leave it all until each show finishes and then add it in one go. We shall see what happens later though!♦Tangerines♦·Talk 16:02, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I saw you had removed it, (good idea and one I support you on). However, for some reason Week Two still showed with the tables so I have restored it to the last version before the addition of todays show. I presume that you would agree that we should wait until tonights show is actually over before adding song details etc? If so I can keep an eye on the article while the show is on.♦Tangerines♦·Talk

[edit] I'd Do Anything again!
Hi just wondering if I could ask for your input on the article? To be honest I'm beginning to get a bit fed up with it. I tried bringing up about how each week the results are added before the Sunday show airs on the Admin noticeboard, but got told that people weren't interested in spoilers and that if the info is correct then it should stay etc. Even though the supposed results added for last weekends shows were totally made up. Someone added that Jessie had been eliminated after a sing-off with Ashley, even adding a song they didn't sing and a whole made up speech made by Lloyd Webber.
It was brought up on the articles talk page the other day about the tables - which I know we discussed previously and how they might become too much in the end. User:Mattbr made some good points and even praised the info being added and said the article might eventually, if it carried on the same way presumably, become a "Good article" Wikipedia:Good articles. Which is fair enough. So yesterday I changed the tables back to list format, after User:RyanLupin added their comment about the tables. Now today, Ryan has added two tags after I did exactly what was asked, the "confusing article" and "very long" tags. To be honest I am getting fed up with it all as I did what was asked and then that gets added without it ever even being discussed and would be grateful for any input from you especially as much of the content is as you edited it? Thanks. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 15:43, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply, and apologies for my message. It has probably been compounded by my being listed in a suspected sockpuppet case earlier today too which I found when I logged on, from just voting on a poll! Ah well, anyway, someone did say the other day about possibly asking on Saturday afternoon about semi-protecting the article until after the Sunday show airs (so IP and new users then wouldn't be able to edit it for that period which would be 31 hours). I am always loathe though to exclude anyone from editing just because of the actions of a few. However, I suspect that with it being Q/F stage this coming weekend and then the S/F next, both weeks will see someone adding the result before the show airs. What do you think?♦Tangerines♦·Talk 16:35, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
