Dafydd Rhys James (born 24 July 1975 in Mufulira, Zambia) is a Welsh rugby union footballer who plays on the wing or in the centre for the Llanelli Scarlets and Wales. He toured with the British and Irish Lions in 2001.

He has earned 45 caps for Wales and three for the British & Irish Lions. His previous clubs include Llanelli, Bridgend, Pontypridd and Harlequins. In 2006, he became the first player to score 25 tries in the Heineken Cup. He took his overall tally in this competition to 28 tries in March 2007 with the Scarlets' first try against Munster in the quarter-final stage.
