• a piece of telecommunications equipment, but refers to two vastly different things in Europe and North America:
  • the Digital Access Carrier System in the UK.
  • the Digital Access and Cross-connect System in the US.

• A direct acoustic cochlear stimulator is a device that directly stimulates the perilymph in the cochlea for the hearing impaired.

• The Design and Artists Copyright Society is a UK copyright collecting society for visual art
