Da Capo is the fourth studio album of Ace of Base, a pop music group based in Sweden. It was released in 2002 in Europe and Japan (on Toshiba EMI with a different cover and the usual bonus tracks). The album contained twelve or fourteen original tracks, depending on the country of origin.

The album was first to be released during the summer of 2000. But because of record company problems, the album was to be released in 2001. The fans were waiting and waiting but nothing happened and then suddenly they were told that the album would be released at the end of September of 2002.

The success of the album was very limited. Even though the album entered the album charts in many of the European countries, the chart position were unexpected low. Many fans have blamed both the record companies and Ace of Base for the bad album & single promotion.

The promotion was handled by Jenny & Ulf. Jonas wanted to stay at home with his two kids and Malin couldn't join the band because of her fright of flying. During the promotion Jenny & Ulf visited Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, Poland & Austria.

Today the sales is expected to be around 400,000 - 500,000 copies sold. The sales seem low, but the album was never released in North America, South America, Australia even though Ulf said in an interview that they would release the album in USA and the songs would be more acoustic. The album was given a "soft release" in the UK on October 21, 2002; it was given no promotion and no single was serviced to radio due to Polydor Records believing that the band were no longer relevant to the UK music scene.

The album is named for the musical term da capo, meaning "back to the beginning". It was intended to be a return to the band's earliest sound.

This album has been released with the Copy Control protection system in some regions.
