The D28 expressway (Croatian: Brza cesta D28) in Croatia connects the capital Zagreb with Bjelovar. The expressway is currently constructed up to the Gradec interchange. The expressway's western end is at the Sv. Helena interchange crossing the A4 highway. D28 then continues to Vrbovec, curves around the town's southern end forming the Vrbovec bypass and ends at the Gradec interchange connecting to the planned D41 expressway east of Vrbovec. Its continuation is planned up to Bjelovar and it is supposed to continue up to Virovitica and possibly east to Osijek, upgrading the vital Podravina magistral route to the expressway level.
The highway is currently heavily used by travelers from northern Slavonia and shunpikers avoiding the A3 toll highway.
