[edit] History
Düsseldorf Panther is the oldest still existing German American football team. They were created in 1978, and celebrated their 25th anniversary on May 1, 2003. Since 1982 the Panther team has played in Germany's American football Bundesliga; the German Football League. In 2002, they were relegated, because of financial problems, into the regional league. However, only two years later they were again promoted, so that since 2004 they are again in the GFL.
