Düsseldorf-Unterrath

Unterrath is an urban borough of Düsseldorf. It is bordering to Rath, Mörsenbroich, Lichtenbroich and Derendorf. It is in the neighbourhood of the Düsseldorf Airport.
In Unterrath there was the royal court of the honschaft Rath. In 1869 the Cartusian founded their first German convent in Unterrath. In 1909 Unterrath became a part of Düsseldorf together with Rath and Lichtenbroich by its own wish.
In Unterrath there are factories of the Daimler automotive company and the Schlösser brewery. But Unterrath is mainly a housing area.
