From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dúngal Eilni mac Scandail (d. 681)[1] was a Dal nAraide king of the Cruithne. He came to the rule of these tribes some time after 668.[2] In 681 he and Cenn Fáelad mac Suibne, chief of Cianachta Glinne Geimhin were burned by Máel Dúin mac Máel Fithrich of the Cenél nEógan at Dún Ceithirn.
His sons Aillil mac Dúngail Eilni (d. 690) and Cú Chuarán mac Dúngail Eilni (d. 708) would also become chiefs of the dal nAraide.
