I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!  The Behnam 10:50, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] How to contact other users

Hi. Aside from the 'helpme' tag mentioned in the welcome message above, you can (1)use the talk page, or (2)use email (assuming both you and the other user have it enabled).

For the talk page, you just go to the talk page, and edit. If you want to add a new section, do so at the bottom (this applies to all talk pages really). The easy way to add a new section is through the "+" tab near the top of the screen, to the right of the "edit this page" tab.

For email, you must first authorize your own and have this verified. You do this through the "my preferences" on the top of the page. Once you have your email verified, you can email other users (who also have email enabled) by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Emailuser/ . After the slash you put the user name of the person you are emailing. It will set it up from there for you. I hope that helps. Don't be afraid to ask people if you want any more help. Thanks very much, I am deeply interested in ancient civilizations and read up on them whenever I get the chance. According to your page you seem to have an interest in such things as well, that is why I asked if I could contact you regarding editing such pages. I had a horrible start but hopefully I'll be able to contribute useful information in the future. Cyrus777 10:59, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, of course it isn't too late. A lot of people start shaky so don't get discouraged. I apologize for being kind of snappy; I suppose I violated WP:BITE. Anyway, I'm definitely willing to help out on any questions as best I can so feel free to ask me or other editors for advice. Thanks, and welcome. The Behnam 11:08, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Just a note

Hi there, just wanted to let you know that when you add a new section to a talk page, it's usually done at the bottom of the page, not at the top. One easy way to do this it to click on the '+' tab at the top of that talk page. — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 04:26, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the info, I never knew that as I rarely add anything in the talk pages. Cyrus777
