Cyril Bencraft Joly

Lt Colonel Cyril Bencraft Joly MC (September 9, 1918 - 2000) was a British Army officier, author and inventor. He served as an officer in the Royal Tank Regiment with 7th. Armoured Division (Desert Rats) throughout the campaign in North Africa.
Later in life he invented and patented an apparatus for providing a desired atmosphere in a sleeping space. This comprised of a frame arranged to support, when a cover which the use of electrical fans would control the temperature for the bed user.[1]
Born in Mengtes, Yunnan, China and died at Winchester in Hampshire.[2]
