A Malaysian who has been staying in Singapore for more than 20 years. Born in Singapore Mount Alvernia Hospital and Medical Centre in 1971, he was brought back to Malaysia (both his parents are Malaysian) to stay with his grandparents, where he grew up in Penang, Malaysia. He started kindergarden in St Christopher, Penang, and spent six years at St Xavier's Institution, Penang. He moved back to Singapore in 1984 for Secondary School where he studied at St Patrick's Secondary School, Singapore, and stayed at the St Patrick's Boarding House. He was the only student during his year that moved to a lower graded class after being offered to do Biology but declined. After his GCE 'O' Levels, he moved to Catholic Junior College, Singapore and stayed at Cavenagh Court. After finishing his GCE 'A' Levels and passing all his subjects in Computer Science, Further Mathematics, Mathematics C and Physics, he moved back to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for six months while awaiting entrance to Nanyang Technological Institute, Singapore. The school was renamed Nanyang Technological University while he did three years at the School Of Applied Science, majoring in Computer Technology.

After graduation, he worked at Times Publishing Ltd from 1993 till 1997. He then moved to Chubb Underwriting, working there from 1997 till 2001. After that, he has been working at GlaxoSmithKline Plc till today.

Cyphercat has been involved in several cycling and triathlon groups in Singapore and participated in several races around Singapore and Malaysia. His first race was in May 2003 at Putrajaya, Malakoff Malaysian Duathlon Series and resulted in a Did-Not-Finish due to a puncture on the second of three bike laps. His first bike race was the SACA (Singapore Amateur Cycling Association) Individual Time Trial in June 2003. His first resulted race was a relay with Synergy Multisport team at the OSIM 2003, where the team came in first. His favourite race has been The Desaru Long Distance (Half Ironman Triathlon), where he did a relay for bike and run in 2003, and bike relay in both 2005 and 2006. He also finished with enough points for the 2004 year to come in 5th overall for SACA G.C. Sports Category race, where he continued with a lacklustre 2005 in the Open/Elite category where he had hoped to support his team mate Kit. He planned to stopped racing in 2005 after Desaru Half Ironman Triathlon but continued with one more Desaru Half Ironman Triathlon in 2006, hoping to beat his personal best set in 2003 but failed to do so after cramping on the 50km mark with 40km to go.

During his trip up in his first race to Putrajaya, he took the bus with the people from Tribob and met several people who played significant roles in his life, especially Joyce Leong, Esther Tan, Samuel Yang and Mervyn Liew. His most significant training ride has been to climb Genting, Malaysia in Feb 2005 to watch the Tour de Langkawi, and repeated the climb in Jun 2005.

He can be found in Calfitness gym Indoor Cycling Spin classes, or cycling in the morning with the LH5AM (Thomson Road, Longhouse 5am Joy Riders). He can also be found playing arcade games, mostly Mario Kart Arcade GP nowadays (Bugis Junction and Plaza Singapura), holding two cards by the names of CAT, a Toad character and C-AT!, a Bowser character.

His current computer setup includes an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 with 2GB of memory, a Gigabyte P965 Quad6 motherboard and a Gigabyte Radeon X1950XTX graphics card.
