http://cypress.auhsd.k12.ca.us/ Cypress High School is a 9th–12th grade public high school in Cypress, California, and is one of eight high schools in the Anaheim Union High School District. The school is located in north Orange County. It was established in 1973. On April 17, 2007 Cypress High School was officially honored as a California Distinguished School.

  • Dr. Ben Carpenter is the current principal of Cypress High School. He began this position July 2004 when Norm Fried retired.

The school mascot is the Centurion of Roman Empire fame. The school colors are Blue, Orange, and White.

Cypress's sports teams compete in the Empire League, in CIF Southern Section. Their main rival is nearby Kennedy High School.

BASEBALL: In 2007, the Centurions were ranked in the Top 25 for all Prep teams nationwide. Led by the All-American 3B and first round MLB draft selection Josh Vitters, the school recorded a 24-6 record.[1]. In 2005, the baseball team won the 2005 CIF-SS Division II title.

FOOTBALL: In 2007, Cypress High School won its first CIF championship game in school history. 2006 was the most successful season the Cypress football season has ever had. The Centurions started the season 5-0, finishing 10-3 and reaching the CIF-SS Southern Division semi-finals.

SOFTBALL: The Cypress softball program won Southern Section titles in 1983, 1987, and 1992.

CROSS COUNTRY: The Cypress Men's cross country team made it to the State Meet in 2002 under the coaching of Mark Ware. The team was led by super-star David Napper, who placed 5th with a time of 15:05 for the 5k, helping the team place 10th overall in the entire state for Div. II. After having an illustrious high school running career, David went on to Yale University where he broke many freshman school records in both track and cross country. More recently, the men's team was a 2007 CIF Southern Section Finalist for Div. II under the coaching of Jason Bruton. The team was led by standout seniors, Eric Eyman and Kirk Hunter.
