Cypress Creek High School is located in south Orlando, Florida and serves students in grades 9 through 12. Cypress Creek is an IB World School with an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. As an IB World School, CCHS is a local magnet school allowing students from other Orange County, Florida schools to attend. Cypress Creek High School receives graduating students from Meadow Woods Middle School, South Creek Middle School, and Walker Middle School.

The school has roughly around 3,400 students enrolled. The school's racial demographics are 12.73% White, 18.88% Black, 56.81% Hispanic, and 11.58% other.

[edit] Mens Wrestling

The Cypress Creek mens wrestling team was led by 10th grade wrestler Luis Alba this year. Luis Alba earned is a 3x National Qualifier and has represented Florida at the Cadet National Championships in Fargo,ND. Luis Alba was Cypress Creeks first 10th grade 160 Lb. District Champ and the 2nd wrestler in Cypress Creek High School to make it to the FHSAA State Wrestling tournament. Other succesfull wrestlers were Billy ortiz(State Qualifier) and Kyle Copeland(District Champ).

The girl's team struggled a bit this season, but the future looks bright as the team returns 8 of its top 10 players for coach Angela Walker, including freshman star PG Ashleigh Diaz.

Cypress Creek offers the AVID program, a college preparatory program. Students are offered the chance to take Advanced Placement classes as early as 9th grade. Many students take advantage of this opportunity and it gives them a definitive advantage as they progress in high school.

The Naval Junior ROTC program is a very active program at the school. The unit provides an opportunity for cadets to learn valuable leadership skills, citizenship skills, and the value of commitment, honor and courage. The unit provides support to many components of the school including sports, drama, administration, parking, and many clubs.
