Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District

The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD, often referred to as Cy-Fair) is a school district in northwest Harris County, Texas, United States.

The district covers a small portion of Houston (including the Fairbanks section), the city of Jersey Village, and other unincorporated areas in Harris County.[1][2] The district covers 188 square miles (490 km²) of land[citation needed].

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is part of the taxation base for North Harris Montgomery Community College District[citation needed].

As of September 15, 2007, the district had 70 general-purpose campuses (forty-seven elementary schools, fifteen middle schools, and eight high schools).[1]

The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (Cy-Fair ISD) was created by the merge of the Cypress School district and the Fairbanks School District.[3]
