[edit] AfD nomination of Celebrate Bisexuality Day

An editor has nominated Celebrate Bisexuality Day, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Celebrate Bisexuality Day and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:59, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] No content in Category:Bisexual books

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Bisexual books, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Bisexual books has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Bisexual books, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Sex Work Task Force is Up and Running

And you are working on more content right now that most of its members! I would love for you to be part of the group and make some input in our discussions and how to go about writing the content for important and basic articles like sex worker, sex worker rights, sex industry, and sex tourism. Here is the link to our discussion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Sexology_and_sexuality/Sex_work_work_group --NoMonaLisa (talk) 05:39, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Requests for arbitration: Melissa Farley

I can't blame you if you've wanted to stay as far from this as possible, however, I'll note that there is a Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration#Melissa_Farley. I believe third-party commentary is allowed and yours would be welcome. Iamcuriousblue (talk) 07:50, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] National LGBT

copied from here. The archive will still be available but didn't want to respond there and then have it lost when I did the merge. I assure you I wasn't vandalizing when I first merged it but rather was doing the same that JLM is in cleaning up the museum articles in NYC. No matter what the museum's focus, they're a mess and merging helps clean it up, but I apologize if you didn't like my edit summary. Goign to merge now TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 15:35, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Poll: Change name from "Sex work work group" to "Sex work task force"?

Polling all members of the group to see if they are OK with changing the name of the group. Poll is here. – Iamcuriousblue (talk) 13:22, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bi links

Hi, I noticed you added a whole bunch of bi-related links to Sexuality and gender identity-based cultures. The LGBT section of that article has now been split into LGBT culture, and I'm trying to do some cleanup. Could you narrow the list to a handful that are notable in bi culture? (Or if they're all extremely notable, could you organise them?) Thanks, --Alynna (talk) 02:58, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NYC Meetup: June 1, 2008

New York City Meetup

Next: Sunday June 1st, Columbia University area
Last: 3/16/2008
This box: view  talk  edit

In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, elect a board of directors, and hold salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the last meeting's minutes).

We'll also review our recent Wikipedia Takes Manhattan event, and make preparations for our exciting successor Wiki Week bonanza, being planned with Columbia University students for September or October.

In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.

You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.

Also, check out our regional US Wikimedia chapters blog Wiki Northeast (and we're open to guest posts).
