The Honourable Cynthia A. "Mother" Pratt, is the former Deputy Prime Minister of the Bahamas. She attained the office when the Progressive Liberal Party came to power in the national elections of 2002. She is a Protestant minister and served as a Physical Education teacher in the Bahamian public school system. Her qualifications made her less than desirable for the position however, "party politics" has given her opportunity to serve in that position.
She was re-elected to her seat in Parliament, in the 2nd May 2007 General Elections. Unforunately she now sits on the opposition side of the House.
