Talk:Cylindropuntia bigelovii
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I recently travelled through a forest of these south of Bartlett Dam in central AZ. There was recently a fire in the area, although I do not know if it travelled as far south as the area I hiked (West of Needle Rock on Verde River). It appeared to me to be an invasive species that completely covered all terrain. Very few of the plants were more than 2 feet high, but it was impossible to hike off former jeep trails, and you had to watch your footing on those. My friend and I both pulled a dozen or so of the pods off our jeans. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Autkm (talk • contribs)
