[edit] WP:WQA alert

Hello Cyberia23,

I saw the Wikiquette alert about your behavior. You seem to understand the issue and the relevant policies, and just prefer not to adhere to them. I'm very sarcastic in real life as well, but I have found that little bit of (yes, artificial) civility helps my Wikipedia career a great deal. I hope you'll reconsider your decision. Sarcasticidealist 18:41, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your maturity in apologizing to User:Cheeser1. I owe you an apology, too, because I misjudged you and wouldn't have thought you willing to apologize. Hopefully, this is the end of things. Sarcasticidealist 20:07, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
No apology needed - it was how I acted and you didn't know if I'd change. I just want the monkey off my back - and by monkey I mean the situation in general - not Cheeser1. Cyberia23 20:13, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comment regarding your posts to WP:WQA

With regard to your comments on WP:WQA: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. While I know Sarcasticidealist (t c) has already commented here about the WQA that was opened in reference to you, I feel compelled to advise you that your comments in response to the WQA did themselves violate both WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. There is no excuse, ever, for calling a fellow editor "an arrogant jerk", or a moron, or any of the other pejoratives you used on WP:WQA. You say you're typically civil, and I'll take that at face value, but you will burn out quickly if you let your temper flare up like again for the next editor who pushes your buttons. Just try to remain cool when editing. --Darkwind (talk) 13:03, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:User:68.236.24.19

Thanks for the info. I didn't check all the anon's contributions and thought the trouble was mainly with the Amoeba article (which is on my watchlist). I see that he/she has been blocked for a week; let's see if they come back again and if they continue to be annoying, I am sure they'll be blocked for a much longer duration. - TwoOars (Rev) 18:00, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blake 7

The Terry Nation endorsed model of the Liberator makes it clear that the gold band around the central hull is made of up solar collectors.

I went in tonight to delete what I realized was an error to get your message.

I have read all the script derived books, the scrips themselves and was the first Australian builder of a full-size Orac--a composite of the six different versions that appeared in the series. <brag> autographed by Paul Darrow and Michael Keating </brag>

I accept your changes in good faith, but would appreciate the reference to solar cells being left as Terry Nation did endorse that concept.

I read through the Production Hell section, because and hope that one day this can be resolved. There are many fen who would like to see a credible recovery of the series.

I don't know how private these messages are, so I shall refrain from providing an email address to rationally resolve our differences of opinion.

I do understand the rule about "original research", but I have issues about logical conclusions from the presented evidence as being "research".

Regards,

Heck if this isn't a really comprehensive Fair Use tag. Nice work!71.190.136.91 (talk) 05:08, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

I try to be so no one complains. Cyberia23 (talk) 06:51, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Knight Rider

Do you have a source to back you up in that, the film has now become a television series? El Greco(talk) 23:11, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

No, I don't have a source, but I just made a mistake. It should have been redirected to "Knight Rider (2008 movie)" as it's hardly a "film" - that term is usually reserved for a theatrical release as was origiinally planned. I thought a TV series was to follow the "movie" but I guess that is still up in the air. Cyberia23 (talk) 06:10, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] K-PAX

Hi. Just going on the comment in the text, re: pronounciation and non-caps, plus the one occurrence of non-caps that existed in the text before I altered the rest. I also looked at IMDB and didn't see non-caps; but then again, there was very little in the way of plot synopsis etc. that would give a clue to the caps/non-caps dab. I'm happy for all prots to be Prots and that unreffed comment in the text removed. What do you think?AirdishStraus (talk) 21:48, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

I see the direction you're coming from on this... but I was thinking that the rules of caps for names may probably not apply/exist on K-PAX? I guess we don't know. I'm wondering where the comment in the text originated from, as it isn't cited. Maybe it is a quote from the film from Spacey's character himself when he is describing himself to the doctor? I haven't got a copy of the film to check. (Oh, and I just thought of kd lang who doesn't cap her name)AirdishStraus (talk) 21:57, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi again! The quote is at the start of the article 'K-PAX (film)' and is also on the 'K-PAX' page about the books... It is.. "K-PAX (2001) is a mystery and/or sci-fi drama about a mental patient who claims he is an alien. During his treatment, the patient/alien, "prot" ("rhymes with 'goat' and is not capitalized")".
I agree, it's not worth breaking sweat over.AirdishStraus (talk) 22:14, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mike Rowe & Ghost Hunters International

Thinking about it more, you're totally right. Definitely Mike, I'm just braindead today. My bad :) --Umrguy42 (talk) 06:16, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Reverting edits to my talk page

I apologize for reverting your edits. As soon as I did it, I realized it probably wasn't legitimate, but figured it would be silly to revert my own edit; I decided to leave it up to you. Sorry again. Ashley {talkback} 14:31, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Embarrased by CGI "Remastering" on "Elaan Of Troyuis"

Hi Cyberia, long time no see, this is cathytreks, we have Had our encounters before, and yet we always patched things up after talking or editing, but this time before you post a completed edit on the above mentioned episode of Trek remastered?, I must say that I am ashamed by "the paint by numbers" look to the new fx the cbs/cgi team did on this episode, and furthermore must say that without bias, that the original fx as produced and directed by John Meredith Lucas on this episode were not only "better", they were in fact vastly superior!, the only thing I saw an improvement on in this "remaster" was the sharpness of the colour and image in this late 1968 episode itself on, but not around the Enterprise or the highly unrealistic looking cgi Klingon Battle Crusier, compared to the original fx Klingon ship and battle effects between the ships in space.

yuck to cbs/cgi on this one. --cathytreks (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 18:51, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

yes it was me cathytreks --cathytreks (talk) 19:23, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks, fellow Battlestar fan!

This is my first Wiki article you've been helping on.

I liked this episode--the new look to the special effects is a step up from even the previous years', but I'm a bit underwhelmed by the look of Galactica in some of the shots--a bit too charred to a crisp, covered in ash. I found Baltar's little "I feel SOMETHING!" to be amusing, but his antics are wearing about as thin as Galactica's armor appears to be. And, Kara's decision to go and assassinate Roslin wa a bit precipitous. But, all in all, it appears that they're off to a good start.

Next episode looks pretty exciting, with No. 6 "Natalie" poised to lead a rebellion within the Cylon fleet. Although I'm not sure how they're going to redeem and wiggle Kara out of her newfound problems after she killed that guard (maybe, hopefully, he's just wounded).

Thanks again,

Sorry about messing up your project, but I thought that by making two seperate pages I could decrease the bandwidth. Also remember that I am a new member, you know still learning the ropes if you want to educate me go right on ahead. [edit] Latest Battlestar Episode

I appreciate the work you've done here, but Yikes! Didn't you like any bit of my plot summary on The Ties That Bind (Battlestar Galactica)? You replaced it entirely with your own version. Couldn't you have made an effort to collaborate a little instead of complete replacement? It's kinda discouraging getting disregarded like that. Thanks. - Owlmonkey (talk) 23:24, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Request for Mediation?

Hello - I am alerting you that we are preparing a Request for Mediation regarding Gavin.collins. BOZ (talk) 04:25, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

There's nothing in particular that I want you or anyone to say about him, other than your honest opinion. But thanks for responding. :) BOZ (talk) 03:38, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

I am alerting you that we are now considering a Request for Arbitration regarding him as an alternative to mediation, and would like your opinion on the matter. BOZ (talk) 13:49, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The City on the Edge of Forever

Well done for removing all that over-flowery and unnecessary language from the Plot yesterday. I had planned to edit it myself, but you beat me to it and saved me the job! 86.10.186.245 (talk) 14:53, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
