[edit] Cleaning up?
I don't see why this article needs to be "cleaned up". I personally think it's neatly set out, but I guess it probably needs more information. RadioActive, can you clarify what you want done to the article to make it better rather than just whacking the cleanup tag without any reasoning?

This article DEFINITELY needs some more info. All it gives is a brief overview and then some stats that are useless for anyone unfamiliar with the topic. We need an explanation of the league's organization, why they have female and male divisions for Quake (unless there's something with those games I'm missing), and instances of recognition by the media would be great.
Ok thanks for the clarification. I might be able to add some information to the topic soon.

Be sure to watch the list of winners -- there were many incorrect entries featuring 'swatMK -- Juho Leigh' -- The Cyberathlete Amateur League page also has the same incorrect entries -- I fixed what I could, but all results should be checked.

- Thanks, Mike. Is suspect that the winner lists will get removed from here as the article expands as they become less useful and yet pronbe to vandalism. Juho Leigh obviously has a serious need for attention. It's sad. --Habap 15:10, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
I'd suggest splitting the winners list off to a separate article and just keeping the other content here.
[edit] Extra Sources?
I think this article could benfit from extra sources. Some independant news articles would go a long to improving the overall quality of the article per WP:N. I'm sure that an organisation that's been going for this long and that has reached such a seemingly large scale should have plenty of media coverage in some form or another? [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:History logo.gif
Image:History logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:48, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:NOT#BLOG
Am I the only one who thinks this entire page has just a blog/advertisement to tell us all who the winners were last year instead of putting it on a website? ZBrannigan 22:29, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Agreed. As with the other wiki articles by this group, it seems as if there's little information and mostly advertisement/promotion. In addition, it appears much of this article is out of date (most of these sponsors are not sponsoring anymore). I guess the 15 minute window is up. Troymaclure 22:40, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Possible Death of CPL?
An article was posted on the CAL website that talked about many of the CPL staff members being fired and leaving and the possible death of the CPL as a video game tournament organiser. This article was later removed but a screenshot was saved by GGL and SK-Gaming also wrote an article about this. While this event may not yet be notable enough to include in the article, we should watch this for any developments. Just a heads up. --Credema (talk) 04:32, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
