[edit] History
[edit] The beginning
The Band was founded in the early part of 1995 by Tino Weidauer alias Euscha (Keyboard) and Raik Wild (Vocals). Inspired through the revival of EBM in the middle of the 90s and through bands like Front 242, Cat Rapes Dog and Tyske Ludder they started to produce songs like "Paranoid", "Kalter Stahl" and "Orange Sector".
Soon after this, CYBORG ATTACK started receiving requests for live gigs and Uwe Schimmel (Keyboard) alias Zerindi joined the Band. Their first produced songs was gone well within the scene and so they get the chance to prove their live ability once more again on different gigs through Germany.
The first Demo Tapes have been produced and released in 1996. But at this point of time it wasn't possible for CYBORG ATTACK to find a label that was willing to release an album with such an extreme and aggressive sound. In a fact of this the first official release of CYBORG ATTACK was the CD TOXIC in 1997 produced in own production and released and distributed trough OMB, a distribution of the German Synthie-Pop project Obscyre.
1997 CYBORG ATTACK has been met one's fate. Raik Wild the co-founder and at that time frontman of CYBORG ATTACK leaves the Band overnight to attents himself to a more Pop music oriented project. More as 2 years should it take till the band was always completed with the new singer and frontman Sandro Franz alias Punisher.
[edit] New territories
In early 1999, the band added new songs, promotional material, and successful reunion gigs through Germany. The most important gig was in 2000 on the 9th Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival in Leipzig. Marco Gruhn, the label head of NoiTekk saw the show and was swept off his feet also like the audience. So he offers the band a record contract and the deal with Noitekk - a sublabel of BlackRain (the label of Feindflug) - was executed. The first LP BLUTGELD was released in the beginning of 2001. The Longplayer BLUTGELD was Re-released after the change-over in early 2003 to the main label BlackRain. Through the label BlackRain also the latest Longplayer for now STOERF***TOR was released in 2006.
[edit] Style and Themes
CYBORG ATTACK developed step by step their typical harsh but charismatic sound. Mainly it could be called electronic cyber punk sound. The sound was going to be the figurehead of CYBORG ATTACK. The lyrical main topics of CYBORG ATTACK basically themes like war, surreal end of time-forebodings, as well as socio-critical facts.
