Cxbx

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cxbx is an Xbox emulator for the Microsoft Windows operating system developed by a group of programmers led by a hacker named Caustik and written in the C++ programming language. Cxbx's goal is to convert a game from an Xbox executable to a native Windows executable.

The only commercial game that Cxbx currently runs is Turok: Evolution, and without sound or network support. It is also able to run assorted demos. Currently, the project is now being revived by Caustik along with 2 new developers, and is now going ingame with BattleStar Galactica. Cxbx is now beginning to load other commercial games (none playable yet). The author recommends checking out OpenXDK.

There is an ongoing effort to port Cxbx to Delphi for further development.
