From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cut Killer (real name Anouar Hajoui) is a French DJ, actor and hip-hop recording artist of Moroccan origin who is currently signed to Shadyville Entertainment.

He appeared in the 1995 film La Haine (directed by Mathieu Kassovitz) where he played the role of a Parisian DJ.

In the film Cut Killer is shown mixing from an apartment window and the scene is cross-cut with overhead images of a riot scarred housing estate and people breakdancing. The music he mixes includes Edith Piaf's Je Ne Regrette Rien, KRS-One's Sound of Da Police and the controversial Hip Hop group NTM.

Cut Killer honed his DJ skills by competing in the famous Disco Mixing Club (DMC). He later toured with MC Solaar and scratched on the solo album by Akhenaton (IAM).

During the 1990s Cut Killer contributed to the mixtape scene in France. Inspired by the likes of Kid Capri and DJ Clue his mixtapes highlighted his DJ talents even further.

Cut Killer has since appeared in a number of films and scored several soundtracks.
