Cuscuta epithymum (L.) L., (Dodder, Hellweed, Strangle-tare, called in Spain azafrán borde o cabellos de monte) is a parasitic plant assigned to the Cuscutaceae or Convolvulaceae families, depending the taxonomy. This kind of plants are red-pigmented, because are not photosynthetically actives and it has a filiform habit, like a group of yarns. Its leaves are very little, like flakes. Its flowers, disposed in little glomerules, have a white corolla, with the androecium welded to the corolla.
