I'm not sure how to make read less than an add. I've tried to write in only facts rather than opinions. I've also tried to cite the copyright info from Curves International. Please share your opinion at Talk:Curves (fitness). Maniwar 23:17, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

As this article was much more established and well-researched, I've redirected the other title into this one. Here's the text in case you need to merge anything in:
- Curves is a chain of fitness centers for women established in 1992 in Harlingen, Texas. It has since expanded to over 9500 locations around the world, making it the largest fitness chain on the planet.
- The centers are known for their women's-only workout, which is a thirty minute regimen.
- Curves received some mixed publicity due to its owner, Gary Heavin, and his political beliefs, as he noted in an interview with Today's Christian that he donates money to pro-life causes.

[edit] Regarding Christian Companies Category
Although Gary Heavin introduces Christianity into his communication that he is a Christian, there is no support that he founded the company of Christian principles. Additionally, because they are individually owned franchises, it is quite far fetched to say that all Curves are Christians. It is in fact known that some franchises are owned by Jewish owners, and by Japanese owners who tend to be Shinto or Buddhist. --Maniwar (talk) 15:42, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Image:Curves logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
