Talk:Curry Village

[edit] View
Having just returned from Curry Village, I can attest that the image labelled "View from Curry village" is not correct. The view in the image is from several miles further west in the valley. --Dcfleck 11:48, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] which images?
I think that the picture of Half Dome from Glacier Point (not Curry Village), and the picture of Yosemite Falls from its base (not Curry Village) do not obey the Manual of Style for relevant images, which states:
- Pertinence and encyclopedicity Images must be relevant to the article they appear in and be of sufficient notability (relative to the article's topic)
These pictures are relevant to Yosemite Valley, not Curry Village. Now, if someone had pictures of the view from near Curry Village, that would be relevant. See, e.g., Commons:Mount Dana. I would propose re-deleting these pictures, although we can certainly discuss the relevancy of the images. I would also like to hear what other editors think. hike395 03:23, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
