I think that a talk page is needed. It does not seem neutral, specially the Parliamentary elections of 2005 section.

Something needs to be done with this article as it is one of the oldest articles marked for cleanup. The article simply a summary of already existing articles. This article should either 1.) actually contain current events, which would probably mean there should be a portal for the subject instead an article, 2.) change the article title to 'List of political events in Venezuela, and re-write the article or 3.) propose the article for deletion. I would suggest a deletion without prejudice. The three alternatives above are fine but, as it stands now, the article is nothing but a lot of unreferenced facts that can be found (often referenced) in other articles. The article also acts as POV fork as it seems you can write anything here without providing refs. If someone considers WP need an article on this subject s/he would better start from scratch. I would suggest deleting the article. Wikipedia is not news (we've got Wikinews for that), so the article does not belong. A timeline of Venezuelan history is OK, if that article doesn't already exist.Ngchen (talk) 02:36, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Propose for deletion

I came here from Cleanup, and I must say, while there is a lot of info in this article,

  • it lacks anything cohesive other than "Venezuela"
  • it is all information found in other articles.

I think it can be deleted without loss. Unschool (talk) 05:12, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
