[edit] Headlines?

It seems some people on the main Current Affairs page are not happy with this being called "Highlights" given the nature of some of the stories - death and natural disaster, and such like. Maybe "Headlines" would be a more suitable name?

[edit] Oussama Mellouli - first Arab world champion in swimming stripped of 2007 world championships medals

With his 2007 results vacated, he loses the historic distinction of having become the first Arab competitor to win a world swimming championship (800 m freestyle). Przemysław Stańczyk (pl:Przemysław Stańczyk) of Poland takes over as reigning world champion. The other affected Melbourne result is 400 m freestyle. In sum, two Australians move up from bronze to silver, and an Italian and a Russian gain bronze medals instead of 4. places. --Mareklug talk 21:20, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Upcoming story

I'm from over on Wikinews, I have a story which is under embargo until later today. I believe it is significant enough to merit a mention on the front page of wikipedia.

I'll be in #wikinews on freenode, or can be contacted at brian . mcneil at wikinewsie . org. --Brianmc (talk) 09:22, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
