Curtis Woodhouse (born April 17, 1980 in Driffield, England) is an English footballer, currently playing for Rushden & Diamonds. He is also a professional boxer.

Woodhouse plays in the centre or on the left of the midfield. He was born in Driffield in the East Riding of Yorkshire and was a youth player at York City before coming through the ranks at Sheffield United. He made his debut for the Blades at the age of 17, as a substitute against Crewe Alexandra in November 1997. Woodhouse holds the record for being the club's youngest ever captain.

In February 2001 he moved to Birmingham City for £1 million. The highlight of his time there was a brace in the final match of the season, a result which ultimately relegated Huddersfield Town. Woodhouse had a loan spell at Rotherham United before moving to Peterborough United on a free transfer in October 2003. He then joined boyhood heroes Hull City in May 2005 for £25,000.

In the January 2006 transfer window he joined Grimsby Town on a 2 year deal, but on 26 April 2006, the BBC reported that Woodhouse would quit football at the end of the season and embark on a career as a professional boxer.[1] He played his last game of football in June 2006 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff when Grimsby Town lost the Football League Two play off final. He made his boxing debut on September 8, 2006, winning a welterweight contest against Dean Marcantonio on points (40-35) after knocking his opponent down twice in the final round. However, soon after this he returned to football when he signed for non-league Rushden & Diamonds after getting 120 hours community service for assaulting a police officer while drunk, meaning he could not box during this time. He then left Diamonds to go back to boxing.

Woodhouse returned to football on March 1, 2007, rejoining Rushden & Diamonds.[2] He signed a new two year deal with Rushden & Diamonds at the end of the 2006-07 season.[3]
