Curtis Whitley

Curtis Wayne Whitley May 10, 1969 to May 11, 2008 was an American center in the National Football League who played from 1992 to 1997 for the San Diego Chargers, Carolina Panthers and Oakland Raiders. Born in Smithfield, North Carolina, he graduated from Smithfield Selma Senior High before attending Clemson University. He was then selected by the Chargers in the 5th round of the 1992 NFL Draft. He was found dead in Texas on May 11, 2008. He was 39 years old. Son of Norman and BJ Whitley, Brother Norman, Jr., Son Curtis Wayne, Jr., Daughter Hannah.
