Curtis Jobling is a British illustrator and animator, born in Blackpool, England but lives in Warrington.

He is best known for his role as production designer of children's TV hit, Bob The Builder, where he visualised all of that programme's inimitable characters and sets. Jobling is also an author and illustrator of children's books, notably Frankenstein's Cat, a muddled up feline, now also in production for an animated show.

Jobling studied at the Cleveland College of Art & Design, Middlesbrough, for a HND in Illustration from 1992 to 1994. A fruitful work experience placement in the puppet and prop-making department on Aardman Animations' Academy Award-winning Wallace and Gromit production A Close Shave landed Jobling a role as puppet painter on Tim Burton's Mars Attacks!.

Curtis is a long-time collaborator of the Animex festival of animation in Teesside, United Kingdom. He has maintained a burgeoning relationship with the Tees Valley sub-economic region and particularly the University of Teesside, whom he opened an integral (for the area) graduate incubation centre in 2005.

In 2006, Jobling was made the Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Teesside, a position which allows him to mentor graduates and young companies who aspire to work in the film, TV and animation industries. His company, Bada Bling Ltd, specializes in the development of film and animation content, covering all aspects of production.

Jobling has collaborated with such animation industry notables as animation director Ian Culbard, comic writer Ian Carney, puppet makers Mackinnon & Saunders, (Tim Burton's Corpse Bride), and 3D animation studio Qurios Entertainment.
