Curry burger

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A curry burger is a variant of the American hamburger that is seasoned with curry. Made either with ground beef, chicken, or lamb, it is typically seasoned with curry powder, as well as yogurt, onions, green peppers, and other spices, and then served on a traditional hamburger bun.

The origin of the curry burger has not been established. Burger King claimed to have created "the world's first curry burger" in 1999 with its BK Masala Burger [1]. Dr. Atkins New Diet Cookbook published a recipe for curry burgers in 1997, and other individuals and restaurants have made curry burgers for several decades, however.
