Currimao is a 5th class municipality in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 10,615 people in 2,126 households.The current mayor is Rosario Go.

Notable development sites in the area has been made through former Mayor Cirilo Quilala. Unforgettable developments such as the Sea Wall helps protect the land from waves and other uncertainties such as typhoons against the coast.The Sea Wall was developed when Mayor Quilala was in office. The D'coral beach resort owned by former Mayor Quilala is another notable development that has shaped how Currimao's tourism molded into. Competing with other famous beach resorts in Ilocos such as Fort Ilocandia, D'Coral beach resort withstand many of the other resorts in Ilocos. Notable developments that has been shaped when Hollywood actors Tom Cruise acted in the D'Coral beach resort in the movie "Born in the 4th of July". These developments that former Mayor Cirilo Quilala has made, helped shape Currimao to what it stands now.
