Curdy Copperhair is a fictional character and the main protagonist of Artur Balder's Curdy fantasy series of books. He is the eponymous viewpoint character of these three books. According to author Balder, the character of Curdy came to him at night after some long ten years without writing anything, as he remembered George MacDonald's fairy tale The Princess and the Goblin.
In the world of the Curdy books, Curdy Copperhair is best friends with Ilke Lewander and Hathel Plumbeus.
