Category talk:Current female heads of government

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mary McAleese was added to this category but I've removed her because she is a ceremonial head of state rather than an active head of government. If non-executive heads of state are to be included this article should be renamed to something like Category:Current female national leaders. Iota 03:30, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Mary McAleese is the President of the Republic of Ireland. This is not a "ceremonial" role. It is an elected position. She is the executive head of state. I think she should be added back.
