The Allegheny Highlands Trail of Maryland is a scenic 21 mile biking and hiking trail that starts in Pittsburgh and ends at Canal Place in Cumberland, Maryland. From there the trail meets with the historic C&O Canal towpath and continues onto Washington DC. Together, the C&O Canal towpath and the Allegheny Highlands Trails make up a biking and hiking trail that is 315 Mile in total, streching from Pittsburgh to Georgetown, Washington, D.C..
