Cumbernauld High School

Cumbernauld High School is a non-denominational school based in the middle of Kildrum, Abronhill and Carbrain, Scotland. The catchment areas includes Kildrum, Abronhill, Carbrain, Airdrie and Seafar.

The school attendance is excellent compared to most schools in North Lanarkshire.[citation needed]

Cumbernauld is a high school with a support for learning unit attached to the mainstream school. It has 3 blocks A,B and C and has the science and technical blocks and the soon to be Psychology department in the school where the old unit was based. During recent storms parts of these blocks have blown down from excessive winds.

The school's current headteacher is Walter Muir and he is assisted by three deputy heads. The rates of people passing exams of Cumbernauld is 79%+ making them one of the most successful in North Lanarkshire.[citation needed]
