User Cullaloe[1] is Nick Hood.

I am a Physics and Mathematics teacher in Fife, Scotland. I came to teaching late, after many years in industry. The idea was to bring the benefit of my experience and skills to state education at the same time as stabilising my life after some upheaval. It's tricky sometimes, but it can also be very rewarding. I am continually surprised at the range of intelligences and abilities in our education system. And in the children, too.

It is particularly nice to get support from people around the world. I strongly believe that whilst we have the opportunity, we should strengthen our global community by working together to solve the problems that face us. My own website[2], in its various forms, exists to support this. From my very first education-related post[3]:

We set people free of their bonds when we teach them.
