[edit] Added links
Nice if someone could write a short summary of the contents of the links and put it under the headlines on this page
[edit] Bhadani edits
- I have created certain sections and the texts in present form have been just placed there. The current texts are fine. Slight rewording is required, including some changes in Media section. I will try to do whatever I am able to do. Others interested in the topic should feel free to reedit my edits.--Bhadani 02:29, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Clothing section
...hello...One of the edits were false, stating that women did not traditionally wear skirts. The "ao tu than" costume of Vietnamese women preceded even the "ao dai" and includes a skirt, of course. I edited some of it, but the clothing section is still very incomplete. If anyone is up to it (with proper sources) - expansion on articles talking about ao tu than, etc. would be appreciated.
[edit] Religion
Edited the religion section - changing the link of "Mahayana Buddhism" so that it actually directed to "Mahayana Buddhism" and not the "Buddhism in Vietnam" page. While the latter page is very valuable, I added a bit about "Buddhism in Vietnam" with a link (directing to that page) to avoid confusion.
[edit] Vandalization
This page has obviously been vandalized. I'm not normally a Wikipedia contributor, so I don't quite know how to restore it. If someone else could do it that would be fantastic. Many thanks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 158.143.173.21 (talk) 23:08, 16 January 2007 (UTC).
[edit] phat phuc
is this image really appropriate? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Noodle_bar.jpg seems it's just for some white kid's amusement. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 151.201.5.127 (talk) 14:17, 3 March 2007 (UTC).
- It may be a joke, but slapping a {{db}} tag on the image itself was inapropriate and was contested. For future reference, if you feel an image does not belong in an article, just remove the image from the article. Since the image itself, and the reason given ("racist") do not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, the {{db}} tag has been removed. --Edokter (Talk) 00:41, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ancestor Reverence
The following statement might be inaccurate: "In Vietnamese society there are 9 distinct generations. Virtually all commemorations and celebrations within a clan follow the principles of these nine generations."
To my understanding, Vietnamese culture only revere ancestors up to the 5th generation prior to. I don't believe relatives more distant than that are even generally known, let alone revered. Le Anh-Huy 11:21, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] dead link
The third external link goes nowhere. I would delete it but I'm sure it's supposed to go somewhere.Kansaikiwi 09:26, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
