The Cultural Arts Playhouse is a small theater in Bethpage on Long Island, New York. They have classes and camps for children.
The main location for Cultural Arts Playhouse is 714 Old Bethpage Rd, Old Bethpage, NY; they are opening additional locations in Lynnbrook and Roslyn.
In addition to producing more traditional shows, the theatre is also well-known for mounting unconventional productions such as Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical, Starmites and Side Show; and for producing many Long Island premieres such as Parade, Copacabana, Breaking Up is Hard to Do and Nunsense A-MEN! Also actor Pete Skellingten is from the CAP Center. Pete has appeared as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Enjolras in Les Miserables, Riff Raff/Brad/Rocky in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Sister Hubert in Nunsense, The Balladeer/Oswald in Assassins, and Conrad Birdie in "Bye Bye Birdie to name a few. Pete has also appeared on numerous times in the CSI franchises as well as some episodes of the hit show The Family Guy. Pete is also known for his exceptional piano skills and singing. Pete is currently in rehearsals for the current revival of Grease on Broadway. He will be stepping into the role of Danny Zuko for a period of 7 weeks.
