[edit] History

CEA was founded by Brian J. Boubek, after completing a study abroad program in France while studying at DePaul University. The experience led Boubek to start Cultural Experiences Abroad, Inc. (CEA) from his parent's basement with a mission to provide a better experience and better service to students. CEA's first destination was Dijon, France. Since incorporating in 1996, CEA has expanded operations to include 25 study abroad destinations in 14 countries in Asia, Europe, Central and South America, and Australia. In addition to college programs, CEA has expanded to offer high school programs and its own network of academic institution named "CEA GlobalCampus". The company employs over 110 people globally and has experienced growth exceeding 30% each year. Inc.com has Ranked Cultural Experiences Abroad twice on its list of 500 fastest growing companies.[2] (#67 in 2003, #225 in 2004)
