Culloden Academy is a non-denominational secondary school in Culloden, Highland, Scotland[2]. The building was completed in 1982 and, as of session 2007/08, has an enrollment of 1,031 pupils. The current rector of Culloden Academy is Stephen T. Dowds.
It serves the communities of Culloden, Balloch, Croy, Ardersier, Smithton, Cradlehall and surrounding rural areas, though recently there has been an increase in the number of pupils from outwith these catchment areas requesting to be enrolled at the school, based on reputation within the local area.
Science is a major strength at the school and as well as achieving academic excellence has won places each year in the Scottish Space School and sends pupils each year to NASA Space school in USA. In technical subjects the school has a partnership agreement with major construction company Tullochs. Very strong and supportive sponsorship links have been established with a range of companies in the Inverness area.
