[edit] systemic bias

This topic should be much bigger, but a lack of Jamaicaians on English Wikipedia keeps it a stub. Please help Wikipedia:WikiProject Countering systemic bias by expanding this aritcle.

Well every time I eat a different cuisine I come on wikipedia and see if I can add anything. So send me some coupons for Jamaican, lol. --Rakista 19:48, 14 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] good start...

we have a nice core here, i hope somebody has a jamaican or west indies cookbook laying around to flesh it out a bit (seems pointless to clean it up without more information). ZacharyS 04:06, 24 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] well here's a jamaican helping out

i agree there is a limited amount of jamaicans out here on the wiki, but i'll pledge to help grow the base. Now there are some typographical and factual errors on this page i plan on correcting to foster a factual cultural exchange.

Welcome to the effort, I am dabbling in cuisines I know like Cuisine of Kentucky but I have helped here as well. --Rakista 04:06, 19 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Jamaican cuisine in Los Angeles?

I LOVE all foods from all cultures... well, mostly. Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indian, French, Italian, South American, Mexican, Medditerranian (sp?)... etc. Whenever I can, I try new food... I'm also a lover of languages... anyway, if anyone knows of a good place to try some Jamaican cuisine in Los Angeles I would be more than happy to do some research. ;) -- NatsukiGirl\talk 22:42, 14 September 2005 (UTC)

I asked a friend in La-La land. He said a place called "Irie" in Cypress has awesome soups and stews, esp ox-tail. --Rakista 00:37, 24 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] 15 sentances and a list

Still a stub? --Banana04131 02:09, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ice Cream with Coconut Milk?

I don't know of any Jamaican brand of ice cream that uses Coconut Milk as its base instead of dairy milk. We do have many different flavours of ice cream, including coconut, but they are made with milk. Wimsyp 04:38, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Not Notable?

I was surprised to see a notice on top of this article saying that this article may not be notable. I added a link to prove that Jamaican Cuisine exists outside Wikipedia, and hopefully validates that Jamaican Cuisine is, in fact, notable. --WisTex (talk) 06:13, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

I'm surprised too, I removed the tag. I'm not quite sure why it was placed on here.--Chef Christopher Allen Tanner, CCC (talk) 06:55, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
