[edit] Atol de Elote and others
There is no mention of Atol de elote. Many Salvadorans drink hot Atol de elote. Also in the breakfast section, chorizo could be included.
Tamarindo, cevada and arrayan are also popular tropical drinks.
I havent lived in El Salvador for a while but a "charamusca" was a kid favorite. Also mango verde con chile y alguaiste.
Fruits: jocotes, guayabas, maraƱones.
On salads, ensalada de ahuacate is very common and one of my favorites.
Desserts: Arroz en leche isnt mentioned. Cemita also is very popular.

[edit] Western Gaseosas
Sodas were introduced to El Salvador from the USA which would be the North not the West.
