Cucuron is a commune of the Vaucluse département in southern France. Located on the south side of the Luberon Massif, as of 2004 it has a population of 1828. The village has existed since the 11th century, and since then has maintained a fairly constant population level varying between one and two thousand people. The primary features of the town are a long pond that extends through the main block of the town, the ruins of a medieval dungeon, and two churches.
