Cuba has yielded a great deal of Olympic medalists, in proportion to its population and development. This page is devoted to the most famous runners in Cuban history.
The history of Cuban olympic runners starts with Andarin Carvajal in the 1904 Summer Olympics at St. Louis, Missouri, EUA. Since then the Cuban people have enjoyed of the glory of many runners, among which Alberto Juantorena and Ana Fidelia Quirot are the most famous (and recent).
